Vortex isn't the type to wear what she's feeling on her sleeve. It takes a lot for her to really work up the courage to say what she feels about any given situation, but it's less of a matter of shyness and more of a matter of her own sense of pride and independence to a fault. It's for this reason that she also has a lot of trouble asking for help despite being part of a combiner team, a role where teamwork and cooperation are foundational.
